Want a Crealy good day out? Head to Devon.

Our Marketing Officer, Gemma Robinson, shares her family day out in Devon.

It’s the summer holidays, and I like thousands of other baby mamas and papas across the country start open minded with the ‘it’s going to be great having the little ones around out of school, we can do so much together’ mind-set, but the reality is and two weeks into the holidays I found myself struggling for ideas of how to amuse the 100mph mini-me (don’t know where she gets it from?!)

Swimming – tick,  Dog walks – tick,  Visiting family – tick,  Local parks – tick

Time to venture further afield.

I work within the marketing team during evenings and weekends, giving me the freedom during the day to carry out my mum duties, having the quiet time of the evenings (and weekends) to help our customers on their shared ownership journey and finding their perfect home in the South and South West.

So – armed with my faithful satnav and snacks a plenty we headed down to Devon, in search of a fun-filled family day out.

First on the list, Crealy Great Adventure Park & Resort. It’s billed as the number one day out in Devon, so let’s see if it lives up to its name! It’s not far from Exeter;  just minutes from Junction 30 of the M5 so not too far for us to travel from Somerset.

Our daughter loved it from start to finish. She’s a bit of an adrenaline junkie so was a huge fan of the water boat slides, death slides and the aqua blasters were a favourite with her. Not forgetting the animal barn where you can handle the animals and feed them as well.

It really has something to offer for the whole family and although it was a sunny day when we visited, there would be something to do even if the British weather did take turn for the worse!

So, Crealy is a big thumbs up from us, it seems as if there are plenty of things to do nearby - Powderham Castle, Exeter street food markets and Go Ape to name a few.

Exeter is a great place for families, with plenty of choice for days out. This is great news for people looking to buy a new home in the area. We have some fantastic new shared ownership homes which will be launching here soon;  Greenspire at Clyst St Mary, Tithe Barn in Exeter, The Harringtons in Exeter and Primrose Hill in nearby Torquay. Jody Jones, our awesome Sales Negotiator for Devon & Cornwall adds:

“Exeter is a beautiful city to live crammed with shops, restaurants, bars and activities.  It’s no wonder the shared ownership properties are so popular!  I love helping people stay in the city of Exeter when they never thought they’d be able to buy their own home.  The best part of the job is seeing the realisation of people’s faces when I tell them they really can own their home in their beautiful home city!”

All of these wonderful new developments will be launching soon and we wouldn’t want you to miss out, so make sure you register your details here in order to receive updates on when we market these new shared ownership homes. Devon could indeed be the perfect place to call home. Fact. **endorsed by our marketing officer, Gemma’s daughter, who said her day out here was AWESOME!**
